About me:

Hi everyone. My name is Amaya Parker. I am the owner of Amaya Allure which specializes in hair, nails, and lashes. I love every part of my job: making people look beautiful, posting my work and seeing now people feel about it, and trial and error of new styles and designs. All my life I've been interested in the beauty industry. I knew I didn't want to go to college, but wanted to pursue my interests in cosmetology to see where it lands me. From where I began, which was re-twisting my mother’s locs for 5+ years to jumping right into cosmetology school straight outta high school, to where I am now, just finishing school and finally opening my business officially. I am very happy and excited to be taking this step in my career, and growing into the hair stylists, loctician, nail tech, and lash tech that I have become so far.

This is a ONE STOP BEAUTY SHOP!!🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤

FAQs

  • Since I’ve moved to Maryland, I’ve been re-twisting my mothers locs. I did that for 9 years. I started doing other peoples locs the beginning of 2023, and when I did that I decided I wanted to go to cosmetology school after high school.

  • I first got locs in 5th grade, which I had for 5-6 years. I then took them out in 2020 and put them back in that same year.

  • I went to hair school because I wanted to get a more in depth education about hair. I am a self taught nail and lash tech which I spent years practicing. Before I went to school I had only did locs and I wanted to get outside of that box and expand my horizons.

  • I started school on September 26th 2023 at Paul Mitchell. That school closed down so I left there in march and started at a school called AVI beginning of april. A lot of things went down so I want able to graduate in august like I was originally supposed to. However that didn’t stop me, I kept going even tho they pushed my date back and graduated on September 25th, 2024. A long and hard year but I wouldn’t change it for tree world. I met so many great people that I will forever be grateful for.
